Most witches I know have cats, dogs or children - none of which go well with burning candles! One of my cats has brushed against my altar candle twice...once setting herself on fire and not even knowing it (I freaked, she was just looking at me as I put it out - thank the Goddess for thick fur!). Wall sconces are a great way of being able to use candles without the worry!
