Lugh, pronounced "Loo" was a Sun God. His name means "the shining one" as was considered a Good God being good at everything. Worshipped as the God of Fire, he also presided over metallurgy, crafting, weaving and served as protector of the weak. Lughnasadh, the Sabbat in August, is named for him.
A primary diety of the Druids, he's also one of the best loved Wiccan Gods. He can assist with anything and is great to call on when you don't know which way to go. He's often associated with the Greek Apollo and Hephaestis.
The quote on the base was written by author Raven Grimassi (see our book section) and reads "I am the seed of light, that awakens the soul of Nature".
From sculpture Paul Borda in hand cast resin finished in Wood or Stone patina. Measures 10" x 7" x 4". Also see our Goddess of the Moon statue for a wonderful companion piece.
