Nehalennia is the protector of travelers.

Nehalennia, the steersworman, is the Celtic goddess who protects travelers during their life, but also on their journey through the afterlife. She is represented by dolphins who protect seafarers, and dogs and ravens who protect land travelers. Along the coast of ancient Celtic settlements are standing stones carved with stylized dolphins, tributes to Nehalennia. As the goddess of guardianship, she symbolizes prosperity and the abundance of the earth.

This lovely pendant is made of kiln-fired porcelain and is hand made. It is about 1 inch in diameter and comes on a black cord gift boxed with a story card.

Hand crafted in the USA by Touchstone Pottery, each piece is composed of fine grained, translucent porcelain clay. The intricate designs are created with slip glazes fired into the porcelain at 2250 degrees F, then each is finished to a satin finish. They are surprisingly lightweight, and very soothing to the touch and are about 1/8 inch thick.
