Painted Rain Stick - Small

Rainsticks may be made of many things - from bamboo to dried cactus. The object is to put small moving particles inside a sealed tube. When the tube is shifted, the sound created by the moving particles is like falling water.

Myth has it that ceremonies using these stickes will bring rain. Rainsticks definitely do bring a fascination and atmospher of relaxation to anyone who hears it. They can be used as ritual or meditation tools.

These small versions are hand made in Indonesia of wood with various painted designs. They are about 16 inches long - a great size for travel.
